In addition to his own blog, Adam is also a regular contributor to "Active History.ca", a group-blog dedicated to highlighting the activities of historians who engage the public with their work.
In its first year, award winning Canadian Historian, Christopher Moore declared that Active History was quickly becoming a "must read". Adam's articles focus on historians who use technology to interact with an audience.
A recent article showcased the plans of some Americans to build a time machine.
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
In 2006, Adam became a Certified English as a Second Language instructor. During the summer of 2006, he used his ESL teaching skills volunteering in a Northern Indian village in the foothills of the Himalayas.

In 2009 he again used his teaching skills and volunteered to tutor an Egyptian student studying engineering in Canada.
POPULAR PUBLISHING WRITER'S GUILD

As part of his Popular Publishing Workshops, Adam invites participants to join the "Popular Publishing Writer's Guild." The Guild offers encouragement and support for graduate students looking to reach a wider audience with their work.
Every five months, the Guild members are encouraged to contribute to the national media by pitching a topic to an editor. In its first year, members had a 75% publication success rate.

ENGINEERING PROJECT VOLUNTEER
From 2007 to 2009, Adam frequently volunteered in the Wolf Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario
During this time, Adam assisted taking data and revising manuscripts for several engineering projects that focused on joint motion.

When approached by H-Environment, a historical list-serv, to act as web editor, Adam jumped at the chance to give the site a fresh, simple look.
Adam is currently serving a two year term as the project's web editor.
VIRTUAL CONFERENCE CO-ORGANIZER

Adam was a planning committee member for "Place and Placelessness", an experimental virtual workshop held entirely using free online tools - no plane tickets required.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
During the economic downturn of 2008-2009, Adam was an active volunteer at a hospitality meal offered at the Robinson Memorial Church, London, ON.
